TIP #1 FINDING TRAILS

Snowshoeing is a little overlooked,
but run a search for cross-country
skiing trails in the area you are
interested in or for forest preserve
trails. Most preserves have an
office or website you can call to
check trail conditions and hours.

TIP #2 HOW TO DRESS

The first few minutes can be cold,
but you'll warm up fast and break
a sweat! But your limbs and face
still take the full brunt of the
wind. Use hand and feet warmer
packets in gloves and boots. Neck
wraps and ear muffs keep in heat
without overheating. Don't forget
sunglasses & sunscreen - the snow
makes it extra bright!"
